Mabuygiw Garkaziw Kupay Torres Strait Islander Corporation is the Mabuyag (Mabuiag Island) registered Community Controlled Organisation. We are the traditional owner men’s group that strive to deliver our services with cultural integrity and sensitivity to maintain our cultural identity.

The cultural identity of our people hingers on the survival of our environment. Our surroundings determine our Lores (Laws), kinship systems, protocols and moral values. Our Cultural knowledge has been verbally passed down through lived experiences over many generations.

Mabuygiw Garkaziw Kupay is the Mabuyag (Mabuiag Island) registered Traditional Owner Men’s group. We are the Community-Controlled Organisation based on Mabuyag and we have been operating since the 4th of May 2017.
The objective of the projects and programs we are planning and committing to, is based on the aspirations of our people, land and sea. We deliver our services with cultural integrity and sensitivity on behalf of our people for our people and by our people. We educate, practice and empower Mabuyag people through Goemulgaw cultural values for social and economic well-being.
